Al Ferdous Jumeirah Mixed Use Development
 

Creation is proud to be part of the Al Ferdous complex on Wasl road in Jumeriah, Dubai. The project involved supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Lighting Control System.

Jumeirah is one of the most in demand residential areas along the coast of Dubai. The area has a wide variety of residences ranging from private villas to townhouses and low-rise apartment buildings. Apart from a luxury lifestyle, many convenient shopping and relaxation spots are located at short distances.

Al Ferdous is a unique Mediterranean inspired project in Safa1, Jumeirah. These newly constructed apartments have unique features such as very high ceilings and beautiful arched windows. These apartments are located above select luxury retail outlets.

The renowned Project Development Consultants- Griffin Consultants to this prestigious project had specified us as the preferred system integrators. The project was spread across a total of four plots on Wasl road. Voltas bagged 3 plots in phase 1 development while Beam/Eminent Contracting bagged the fourth plot in the next phase.

The brief provided to us was to design and execute a simple yet advanced control system that met the three objectives of energy saving, programmability and capability of integrating with BMS for future operations. We chose Ex-OR by Honeywell in all the common areas to provide a sensor-based solution for energy saving. 

Ex-OR MLS solution has several advantages such as colour coded pluggable connections for simple installation, quick programming of sophisticated lighting control schemes, and recall of lighting scenes and partitioning mode for flexible use spaces. The twin features of occupancy detection and daylight detection results in optimal energy savings.

Furthermore, the inbuilt relay system of the MLS solution makes the installation as simple as a stand-alone sensor system. The MLS bus connection gives all the features of a networked system such as communication between sensors, centralized controlling and monitoring. The MLS system also supported the requirement of a timer-based operation in certain areas. 

The various products that we used to execute the solution include MLS2001AF - 6m range sensor, MLS2500D - 20m range microwave sensor, RB2000 - Bus Power Supply, MLSUCB - RB200 to RS485 interface (for BMS Integration), CDH4U5-B - Connect hardwired 4 channels with MLS Bus and Quickset pro - Digital 2-way programming tool.
